| Lou Dobbs mulls run for White House, Senate |
PHOENIX — A week after abruptly quitting his longtime job as a CNN television news host and commentator, Lou Dobbs said on Thursday he is considering career options including possible runs for the White House or U.S. Senate.
"Right now I feel exhilaration at the wide range of choices before me as to what I do next," Dobbs, whose outspoken views on immigration and other topics often angered liberals, told Reuters in a telephone interview from New York on Thursday. Read More... |

| Undocumented workers impact Mississippi's economy |
"I came here because in Mexico it's hard to find work," said Hector, in Spanish. I spent two months without work, and I had three young children. There was no money, and we had nothing to eat. It was very hard."But so is finding the American dream. Hector found work, but he also found racism, even suffering an assault.
One Rankin County business owner ... said he wouldn't have been able to operate his business without undocumented workers. He said it has nothing to do with cost; he paid them just as much as his other workers. It had to do with the quality of work."
(Of course, illegals in this country are making 10x what they would make at home. Start paying Americans 10x the going rate and you'll see some hard work, too!) Read More... |

| Losing Ground |
Losing Ground Tuesday, November 17, 2009 10:22:20 PM ·
National Review ^ | 29 October 2009 | Heather MacDonald A forthcoming study on Hispanic children’s cognitive skills underlines the challenges the country faces in aspiring to close the achievement gap between these children and their white and Asian counterparts. Hispanic “children fall behind their peers in mental development by the time they reach grade school, and the gap tends to widen as they get older,” reports the New York Times. “The drop-off in the cognitive scores of Hispanic toddlers, especially those from Mexican backgrounds, was steeper than for other [low-income] groups and could not be explained by economic status alone. . . . | ANSWER goons physically attack foes of illegal immigration |
By Michelle Malkin • November 16, 2009 02:06 PM
If the black-and-yellow pro-illegal alien amnesty signs in the photos above and video below look familiar, they should. The Workers’ World Party-staffed ANSWER Coalition first used them during the 2006 nationwide illegal alien marches.
Well, they’re baaaack. And over the weekend, as the Obama administration gets ready to launch Night of the Living Amnesty II, the ANSWER goons were out in full force in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. — using their signs to bludgeon anti-illegal immigration activists trying to film the ANSWER/amnesty rally.

| Mass. immigrant tuition bill to get new push |
Amnesty and tuition give-aways never die, they come back again and again -- this time in Massachusetts.
Nearly three years after Massachusetts House lawmakers soundly rejected a bill that would have allowed illegal immigrants to attend college at in-state tuition rates, lawmakers are preparing to revisit the issue.
"Time is our friend here," Chang-Diaz said. "We've had more time to talk to more people collectively ... and get them more comfortable with it." Read More... |

General George S. Patton- Somewhere in England- June 5th, 1944
Thursday, November 12, 2009 1:22:09 PM
The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for his." General S. George Patton. The words of George S.Patton to his men are as meaningful this week as we celebrate our veterans service as they were meaningful in June, 1944, on the eve of D day. Obama says "I'm always worried about using the word "Victory," because, you know, it invokes this notion of Emperor Hirohito coming down and signing a surrender to MacArthur." But not General Patton. Here are the words of the General...Somewhere in England, June 5th, 1944...... |

| Illegals escaped justice by deportation |
When accused criminals who are in the country illegally are arrested in Dallas, Texas, they pay their bonds and are then turned over to ICE. They are then deported regardless of pending charges.
Often, the district attorney's office has not been assigned to the case yet, which means no one is tracking the defendant's status.
Finally, magistrate judges have been releasing the bonding companies from their obligations, so there's no incentive to track down the defendant.
Following News 8 reports, the Dallas County district attorney and representatives from ICE, the Sheriff's Department and Dallas Police Department will meet Tuesday. Read More... |

| Soldiers Discover Half-Built Tunnel At Mexico, U.S. Border |
TIJUANA, Mexico — Mexican troops discovered a 122 yard long tunnel apparently aimed at crossing the U.S. border underground.
Army Gen. Alberto Duarte Mujica says soldiers found the half-built tunnel under a three-story building in the border city of Tijuana.
The army said Sunday that soldiers raided a warehouse where equipment used to build the tunnel was stored, and found 275 pounds of marijuana. They also detained seven men and two women in the Saturday raid.
The wood-lined, 6-foot high tunnel was apparently meant to extend another 144 yards to reach U.S. territory. It was equipped with electrical lights and a ventilation system.
Drug and immigrant smugglers often use such tunnels.

| No charges for day laborers arrested outside Industry Home Depot |
Prosecutors have declined to file charges against 27 day laborers who were arrested for allegedly loitering outside a home improvement store in May.
Business owners from stores around the Home Depot at Gale and Fullerton Road in Industry reported to deputies on May 26 that the men were urinating in public and harassing customers in a parking lot.
Deputies responded and warned the men not to return.
The next day, the business owners again called deputies to report the men had returned. The business owners placed the laborers under citizen's arrest, and deputies booked them on suspicion of trespassing.
A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said Friday that the men were not charged with any crimes because of “insufficient evidence.”
“There was a lack of evidence to prove the people arrested were the same ones they warned the day before,” spokeswoman Jane Robison said.
If the men had been charged and convicted of misdemeanor trespassing, they could have faced fines and up to a year in jail. |

| Immigration may threaten health vote |
The illegal immigration issue is emerging as the biggest threat to passing healthcare reform in the House.
Congressional Hispanics have threatened to vote against the bill because of a last-minute threat from within the Democratic Caucus to bolster the House bill’s immigration restrictions to match those included in the Senate Finance bill.
And they’re also fighting President Barack Obama, the original sponsor of the language prohibiting illegal immigrants from accessing the public health insurance exchange.
On Thursday afternoon, four leaders of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) traveled to the White House to meet with Obama on behalf of the entire group.
Officially, the purpose of their meeting was to talk to the president about healthcare.
But CHC members, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the group’s message was clear: Drop your insistence on preventing illegal immigrants from accessing the public exchange, even if their only option is to pay for insurance plans entirely out of their own pockets. Read More... |
